What information I hold, why I hold it, and how to tell me to stop. If you want to know where I got your details, section 2 is the honest answer.

1. Who we are
Solid Starr Solutions Ltd (“we”, “us”, “I”), company number 16531050, registered in England & Wales. Registered office: 71 Omnibus Way, London, E17 4QF.
Contact: hello@solidstarr.co.uk. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office, registration number ZC177735.
2. The data we hold
If you contact us. Whatever you give us through the website or by email: name, email address, phone number and your message.
If we contacted you. We keep a list of UK businesses we think might find our web-design services useful. For each one we may hold publicly available business contact information: business name, business phone number, business address, website, trade or category, public review information, and where the business is a registered company, information from the public Companies House register such as company status and director name. Where a contact email contains an individual’s name, we treat it as personal data and handle it under this policy.
3. Where we got it
From publicly available sources: public business listings such as Google Maps, and the Companies House public register. Nothing is bought from a data broker and nothing is taken from a private source.
If we rang you and you want to know exactly where your number came from, just ask and we will tell you.
4. Why we process it, and our lawful basis
For direct business-to-business marketing: to introduce our web-design services to businesses likely to find them relevant, and to deliver the work if you become a client.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)): our interest in promoting our services to relevant businesses, weighed against the limited privacy impact in a business context. We have carried out a Legitimate Interest Assessment and will send you a summary if you ask.
We only send marketing emails to corporate subscribers such as limited companies and LLPs, as permitted under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. We do not send unsolicited marketing emails to sole traders or individuals without consent.
Before making any marketing call we screen the number against the Telephone Preference Service and the Corporate Telephone Preference Service, and against our own do-not-contact list.
5. Cookies
This site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use it. These cookies do not load unless you accept them on the banner shown when you first visit. If you reject them, nothing analytics-related is loaded and we remember that choice so you are not asked again.
To change your mind later, clear this site’s data in your browser settings and the banner will appear again on your next visit.
6. How long we keep it
Prospect data is kept only while it is useful for outreach. If a business asks us not to contact them, or does not engage after a reasonable period, we delete it or move it to a suppression list so we do not contact them again. Client records are kept for as long as we need them for the work and for our legal and tax obligations afterwards.
7. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We use trusted service providers, for example email delivery and data storage, who process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements. We may disclose data if the law requires it.
8. Your rights
You have the right to be informed, to access the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to processing including marketing, and to restrict processing.
You can opt out of marketing at any time. Email hello@solidstarr.co.uk or simply tell us on the phone, and we will stop contacting you and suppress your details so it cannot happen again by accident. Every marketing email also contains an unsubscribe link.
If you ask what data we hold about you and where we got it, we will normally tell you within one month, free of charge.
9. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, you can complain to us directly. Email hello@solidstarr.co.uk with “Data complaint” in the subject line, or use the contact form on this site.
We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and respond as quickly as we reasonably can, telling you the outcome and what we have done about it.
