Websites for plumbers

A website for your plumbing business

Most people looking for a plumber are looking right now, standing next to something that is leaking. They are not comparing quotes, they are ringing the first number they can see and trust. So a plumber's site is built round the phone: your number fixed to the screen, your Gas Safe registration, and a straight answer on what a callout costs. That is what I build, for £240 to set up and £179 a month, everything included.

The difference

What a plumber’s site needs that a generic one misses

An emergency search is a completely different job to a browsing search. The person is stressed, on a phone, often with the water off. Everything on the page has to work for that person first.

01

Your number, fixed to the screen

A sticky call bar that follows them down the page, so the number is never more than a thumb away. On an emergency job the site that gets rung is the one that made ringing easiest, not the one with the nicest photos.

02

Whether you can come now

"Emergency callout" means nothing on its own. The page says your actual hours, whether you cover nights and weekends, and roughly how fast you can be there. People ring the plumber who answered the question.

03

Your Gas Safe number, shown

Anyone sensible checks a gas engineer on the Gas Safe register before letting them in. Your registration number goes on the page so they can, which turns a stranger into a checkable business in about ten seconds.

04

What a callout costs

Not a full price list, because you cannot quote a job you have not seen. But a callout charge, or an hourly rate, or even a range. Silence on price reads as expensive, and it is the single most common reason somebody rings the next number instead.

05

The postcodes you actually cover

"London" is not a service area. Naming the boroughs and postcodes you genuinely work in stops the calls you have to turn down, and it is what Google uses to decide which local searches you belong in.

06

The Google listing and your reviews

For a trade, the reviews on your Google listing do more selling than any page you own. Your Business Profile is set up properly as part of the job, in your name, with the right categories and service areas.

The price

One price, everything in it

£240 to set up, then £179 a month. Three months minimum, then it rolls on month to month and you can stop on 30 days' notice. There is no bigger package and no quote to wait for, it is the same for everyone.

The website

Designed round your business, built from scratch, live within a week of your content coming in.

Hosting and backups

Fast hosting with version backups, so a bad change is never permanent.

Your Google listing

Google Business Profile set up and looked after, in your name.

Your dashboard

See how many people found you and what they clicked, without needing to learn analytics.

Socials set up

Accounts created and matched to the site so it all looks like one business.

Changes, forever

New prices, new hours, new photos. Message me, it gets done.

Based in London and most of my work is here, but the whole job runs over calls and messages, so where you are does not decide whether I can build it. If you are outside London, or outside the UK, get in touch anyway.

Want the branding too? A logo, colours and type that carry across everything is £199 one-off at signing.

Questions

Things plumbers ask me

Do plumbers really need a website when they have checkatrade?

A directory rents you a position and takes a cut, and you never own the listing. Your own site and your own Google Business Profile are yours, cost the same every month whether you get two jobs or twenty, and are what people check after they find you anywhere else. Most plumbers who do well have both.

Should I put my prices on the site?

Not a full price list, you cannot quote a boiler you have not seen. But a callout charge or an hourly rate, yes. Saying nothing about money reads as expensive and sends people to the next number.

Can the site take emergency calls out of hours?

The site cannot answer the phone, and I will not pretend otherwise. What it can do is show your real hours so nobody is ringing at 2am expecting an answer, and take a callback request that lands in your inbox for the morning.

What does a plumber’s website cost?

£240 to set it up, then £179 a month. That is the website, the hosting, your Google Business Profile, a dashboard showing how many people called, your social accounts set up, and any changes you want, forever. Three months minimum, then it rolls on.

Want one for your business?

A quick call, no pressure and nothing to prepare. Tell me about it and I will tell you straight whether a site is worth it for you.
