A website for your driving school
Driving instructors are unusual. In our research they had the highest review counts of any trade, and they were the only trade where having a working website made no difference to how many reviews a business had. So this is not about being discovered. It is about what happens after somebody has your name. That is what I build, for £240 to set up and £179 a month, everything included.
Why an instructor’s site is a conversion problem, not a discovery one
You already get reviews, because a course ends at a test result and that is a natural moment to ask. What you may not have is anywhere for the parent comparing three instructors to find your prices, your availability and whether you cover their road.
Prices per hour and per block
An hourly rate and any block booking discount, on the page. This is the first thing a learner or a paying parent looks for, and it is the most common reason they message the next instructor instead.
Whether you have space, and when
Good instructors are booked out and learners know it. Saying plainly whether you have space, and roughly how long the wait is, saves you a stream of messages you have to decline and earns goodwill from the ones who wait.
Your pass rate, if it is good
If your first time pass rate is above average, say the number and say the period it covers. It is the only hard evidence in a market where everybody claims to be patient and friendly.
The test centres and areas you cover
Learners want the instructor who knows their test centre routes. Naming the centres you teach for and the areas you pick up from is more useful than any amount of description.
Automatic, manual, intensive, refresher
Automatic only learners, nervous drivers, refresher pupils and intensive courses are all searching different things. Saying which you take, and which you do not, gets you the right pupils.
The reviews you already have, on show
You have the reviews. Most instructors leave them sitting on Google where only some people look. Your Business Profile is set up properly and the reviews are pulled through where the person comparing you can see them.
Designs you can click through
There is no driving instructor design in the gallery yet, so rather than show you somebody else's and call it yours, here is the full range. Every one is a complete site built for an invented business, not a real client.
One price, everything in it
£240 to set up, then £179 a month. Three months minimum, then it rolls on month to month and you can stop on 30 days' notice. There is no bigger package and no quote to wait for, it is the same for everyone.
The website
Designed round your business, built from scratch, live within a week of your content coming in.
Hosting and backups
Fast hosting with version backups, so a bad change is never permanent.
Your Google listing
Google Business Profile set up and looked after, in your name.
Your dashboard
See how many people found you and what they clicked, without needing to learn analytics.
Socials set up
Accounts created and matched to the site so it all looks like one business.
Changes, forever
New prices, new hours, new photos. Message me, it gets done.
Based in London and most of my work is here, but the whole job runs over calls and messages, so where you are does not decide whether I can build it. If you are outside London, or outside the UK, get in touch anyway.
Want the branding too? A logo, colours and type that carry across everything is £199 one-off at signing.
Things driving instructors ask me
I am fully booked. Why would I want a website?
Two reasons. Being fully booked is a moment in time, and instructors who only start looking for pupils when the diary empties spend a nervous month. Second, a waiting list you control is worth more than a full diary you do not, and it lets you be choosier about the work you take.
Do driving instructors get customers from websites?
Some, but that is not the main value here and it would be misleading to claim it. Our research found instructors already have the highest review counts of any trade, so people find you. The website is where the parent comparing three names decides which one to ring.
Can it show my availability?
It can show what you tell it: whether you are taking pupils, roughly how long the wait is, and which days you have space. Keeping that current is included in the monthly fee, so it never says you have space when you do not.
What does a driving instructor website cost?
£240 to set it up, then £179 a month. The site, hosting, your Google Business Profile, a dashboard and unlimited changes. Three months minimum, then rolling. Same price for a single instructor as for a school.
Want one for your business?
A quick call, no pressure and nothing to prepare. Tell me about it and I will tell you straight whether a site is worth it for you.
